A film project which a friend of mine and I have been developing, with the working title "Fjársjóður Freyju" ("Freyja's Treasure"), got supported by the Icelandic Film Centre.
It's basically a 6 episode TV-series about a group of teenagers in Iceland who go on a search for a long lost Viking treasure to save one of the girl's grandparent's farm. The idea was to create a series which would both be exciting and educational, since each episode will also have numerous historical facts about the Vikings.
The grant we got from the Icelandic Film Centre is for developing the script even further.
