Interesting Coincidence

My new novel, Lygarinn: sönn saga (The Liar: A True Story), which will be published in Iceland in 2-3 weeks, will take place both in modern times and also in the year 1972 when the World Chess Championship between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky took place in Reykjavík.

But as it turn's out, I'm not the only one fascinated by the "Match of the Century" (as it was dubbed in the media), because Iceland's best-selling crime author, Arnaldur Indriðason, will also publish a novel in 2-3 weeks about the World Chess Championship in Iceland '72!

Today Fréttablaðið writes about this funny coincidence. The article is in Icelandic. I'm also featured on the cover.

This is going to be interesting.
